Static IP for FBR digital invoicing: what to do
When you register for FBR digital invoicing, FBR asks for the public IP address your shop will send invoices from, and it only accepts invoices from that address. This page shows the IP address FBR sees, so you can give the right one.
- Open this page on the shop computer, using the shop internet.
- Copy the number shown above.
- Add it in your FBR IRIS account where the digital invoicing registration asks for the IP. Menu names can change, so ask the IRIS helpdesk if you cannot find it.
- Come back and check again if invoices suddenly start to fail. If the number is different, your IP changed.

Static IP questions
What is a static IP and why does FBR ask for it?
Every internet connection has a public IP address. FBR only accepts digital invoices from the IP address you gave it. A static (fixed) IP never changes, so it keeps working. A dynamic IP can change at any time.
Can I use the IP of my phone on mobile data?
No. A phone on mobile data has a different IP, and it changes. Open this page on the shop computer, using the shop internet, and copy that number.
My invoices stopped going through. Did my IP change?
It may have. Many shop internet lines change their IP sometimes. Open this page again and compare the number with the one you gave FBR. If it is different, add the new one in IRIS.
How do I get a static IP in Pakistan?
Ask your internet provider (ISP) for a fixed public IPv4 address for your shop line. Some providers charge a monthly fee. Also ask whether your line shares one public address between many customers, because then the IP FBR sees is not only yours.
Does ApnaBill save my IP?
No. To find your IP, this page asks a free service (ipify.org), or this website as a backup. It is not saved.
